I'm pretty sure defenders come second behind leaders for "roles that every party needs."
Haha, I'm currently stumped on what I want for my second character. I don't want another defender really, as two defenders in one world seems limiting. 
Not sure what other role I'd want though. I considered a Tiefling Psion, but I saw it was taken and haven't seen a great deal of synergy I could make with it, even though it's said there's good synergy with racial feats. Maybe I'm just looking wrong.
Then again, I've briefly considered just about everything under the sun, including assassins. >.>

roflmao.Don't worry Theroc, I'm taking care of that little problem for you...
[MENTION=10309]Otakkun[/MENTION]: I could try one, but I'd definitely need to find some general advice on the class, since there is no "Ardent Handbook" on Wizards forums, or at least not one I could find last night. I don't necessarily follow those strictly, but I usually use them as a guideline and to avoid 'traps'.
