Looking for SHORT 4E adventure

High everyone,

I'm looking for a short (2-4 gaming sessions long) adventure, preferably free but I'm willing to pay a few bucks for a PDF if something really good exists. I'm introducing some friends to 4E but they have plenty of D&D experience.

Preferences:

- no dungeon crawl
- storyline is at least moderately important (no pure sandbox or pure hack-n-slash)
- NPCs have some depth and are not too stereotypical
- rescue mission or the like is fun (but not mandatory)

Any suggestions?

There are some free adventures in Dungeon Magazines 155 through 158 which you can find here

Of the selection, Last Breaths of Ashenport, Dark Hear of Mithrendain and Sea Reavers of the Shrouded Crags are well worth looking at.

Another option would be sign up for a community supporter account and run the 1st module of the War of the Burning Sky campaign arc.... I think that would fit the bill for you very well. Town based adventure with strong NPCs, plotlines, and goals.

And if your group likes it.. you could just keep playing! The adventure arc is free to community supporters and is one of the better module sets I have seen.
