Combat Challenge/Combat Superiority question

So a fighter marks a foe when he attacks.

On the foes turn it decides to run off and attack something else.

Does the fighter get two basic melee attacks on that foe?

1) Melee basic attack from Combat Challenge as an immediate interrupt.
2) Opportunity attack

No.

OAs are triggered by non-shift adjacent moves, CCs are triggered by adjacent shifts or attacks. The provoker can't be doing both.

The combatant could attack someone else at -2, triggering a CC, and then non-shift away, triggering an OA... but it'd need to be pretty dumb...

Thanks for the clarification. I've got to make sure I read things a little more closely.

Actually OAs are also triggered by making ranged and area attacks. So it is actually possible to trigger BOTH a CC and an OA with the same action.

A marked monster adjacent to the fighter who uses a ranged attack against another target will trigger an OA for making a ranged attack, AND will trigger a CC for attacking a target other than the fighter.

You can make both of these attacks, just take them in whichever order you (or the DM) wants as the rules don't define a specific order. It doesn't come up too often, but once in a while you can get this sort of thing.
