I have been trying to find an answer to this question:
As specialist by school there are 2 restricted schools required to be chosen.
but the elementalist i know there is the opposing element spells that are restricted. Do they also need to choose 2 restricted schools as well?
I looked at my LPF character and he does not have two restricted schools, just the restricted element.
and by the way, the Elementalist is part of the APG.

After some reading and study, it looks to me like the LPF treatment is the correct way to go: Your character's opposing element (air opposes earth, fire opposes water) will be restricted, meaning that you will need to spend two slots of the appropriate level to prepare a spell of your opposing element. Past that, I would suggest application of this statement from p. 142 of APG: "He does not need to select a second opposition school."

Ah, did not think of looking there. Been trying to find it on the d 20 pf sight. So, Water is opposed by fire. I have a back story as to why he has not acted this way to date.I will have it added to his background.
