Trixie suddenly takes off her hat, puts her ear close as if intently listening, and abruptly puts it back on. She wrinkles her nose, and all of the drinks at the bar turn into a plethora of pastel and neon colors. Ms. Stardust rushes out the door, and doesn't even pay her tab.

A woman slowly opens the great wooden doors to the most famous Venzan tavern, The Dunn Wright Inn. Her eyes squint as he she adjusts to the new lighting in the room. She timidly walks up to the bar, and grabs a stool by herself. She hides her head in her cloak and fails to make eye contact with anyone, even the bartender. After a few minutes of silence she quitely pipes up to the barkeep, "One hard apple cider, if you will please."

Marla nodded at the newcomer but continued her conversation. "Well, we've a nice red wine that might pair well with a steak. I'll let Zitteaux know what you want."

Marla turns back to the other woman. "And a hard apple cider for you. Got it." She goes to call the food order back to the Inn's cook before pouring a drink from a heavy jug and sliding it over to the shy woman.

Kris nods again, sparing a glance towards the cloaked woman sitting down nearby. "Sure red wine will be fine. Just don't keep refilling it like some waiters tend to do..."

The demure woman slides a few old looking gold coins to the bartender and whispers, "Thank you, ma'am." A further inspection of the payment would reveal the coins are of Harran origin. She takes a quick look around and notices the nearby patron look at her. She gives half a smile, then looks back down.

The newcomer musters enough bravery to peer around the room, despite the multitude of customers in the tavern. She takes a dainty sip of the cider. This is not like the apples from back home, but it tastes wonderful and new just the same. She immediately notices the flamboyant performer, and immediately averts her eyes back to the the barmaid in front of her. "Thank you again... m-m-m-may I ask your name?"

When the shy woman works up enough courage to ask her name Marla smiled. "Oh, sure. You can call me Marla. What are your names and what brings the two of you to the Dunn Wright Inn?"
