Hyenas pose a real danger to humanoids in the
wild. They make good use of pack tactics to harry and pull
down their prey.

Hyenas are commonly regarded as cowardly,
gluttonous, filthy, and destructive beasts. Gnolls often
keep hyenas as pets and hunting animals.

Normally a plains and desert animal, the species before you is slightly different and seems to have adapted to this environment, perhaps over many generations.

Any square on the map that has a tree or bushes in it will provide concealment and anyone can attempt to use stealth to hide in any of those squares.

Totally agree on that. After all, his sneak double the damage output he do with his attack. 1d4+4 sucks. 1d4+2d6+4, now you are talking about a striker damage.[/sblock]

Martelai approaches in measured steps, his hands flaring with eldritch light. His eyes look onto the nearest beasts, turning into bottomless pits full of stars for merest of moments. He then flicks purple light into the beast burning it.


OOC: If any anything hits martelai in melee it regrets it as it suffers from Delban's deadly attention immediate interrupt which damages it with 2d8+8 damage and gives it choice of dealing half damage or suffering additional 1d8.

Gellan bristles at the half-elf's tone. "I need no advice from you on how to survive in the wild," he snarls as he dashes forward. His tan'gat flash out to carve deep wounds in two of the hyenas menacing his comrades. As the beasts fall, Gellan bares his teeth in satisfaction and lunges forward once more to graze a third hyena.

Standard: Attack Hyena W6 with Whirling Rend: hits AC 26 for 12 damage. Hyena W3 takes 8 damage.
Assuming those are minions, and thus defeated, Gellan uses Whirling Lunge to shift to D-16 and do 4 damage to Hyena 1.[/sblock]
