OOC: Alarion, see posts #382, 384, and 386 -- you've already come up the steps into the Patriarch's home and been fed a light meal. Now Brae has asked to look around the place (#387) and that's why you were asked to be quiet as you roam about the interior of his home. You probably know this already, but the summation helps me, too, ya know.
The constables, led by Alarion, move on into the next room to begin inspecting the place. This room is a dining room -- it has a long, heavy, ornate table and 20 ornate, high-backed chairs. The type of wood used to construct the table and chairs is not immediately identifiable. There are large candelabra down the table, but all are unlit. At present, the only light you have is what you yourselves were bearing and the light spilling into this room from the kitchen behind you. Ahead, you can see faintly into the next room which appears to be a sitting room or something similar.
