Brae's light extends some 10 feet beyond the front rank of the party. There are approximately 20-25 feet remaining before the light reaches where you estimate that the back terminus of the creooked alley lies. That's 20-25 feet that could conceivably conceal an almost infinite amount of evil. Several more normal-sized rats exercise the better part of valor and scurry rapidly along the edges of the alleyway past the constables. Until three particularly enormous rats come into view some 25-30 feet from the back of the alley and ten feet ahead of the front rank of constables. These three rats show no sign of retreat, and in fact, have their hackles raised, fangs bared, and they look prerpared to defend their territory.

OOC: The map isn't 100% infallible with respect to the AoE of Brae's light spell, sorry. Future maps will be moreso. This map is adequate for presesnt purposes this round. ;)

Brae stands ready to assist Soulfetter, but is confident that the big guy and Allarion should be more than capable of dealing with a few nasty rats.

OOC: We'll give the straggler(s) until tomorrow afternoon, unless Scotley decides to advance things before then.

When Kerlan's spell winks into existence, the rats all scatter and vanish into unseen holes and piles of detritus like so much foul vapor. There remains, however, a region of deeper darkness around the corner to the right, back where the alley's terminus is.
