[sblock=Andrew's knowledge]
It's not a weakness, exactly, but Andrew knows that you should never attack a "Bleakborn," also sometimes called a "Moil Zombie," with any kind of magical fire, because that will just heal the creature.
[/sblock]
End of Round 1. Alarion's attck, 23, is a miss, as is Brae's. Raul takes a defensive stance and does not attack. [Andrew has only used a free action so far and may still attack if he so chooses.]

Round 2. The undead monstosity slams its body full force into SoulFetter, trying to absorb all of the Urgant's heat, but since the Urgant's barbarian reflexes permit him to react to the danger of the undead so swiftly [uncanny dodge], the chilling attack misses.

Round 2. *Kulvo 'SoulFetter' and the rest are up.*

"Constables" Andrew calls out "Do not use magical fire on the beast, it will only heal them"
Inwardly, Tau grins smugly when he hears Andrew's "warning". Having already revealed this information to the group, it is wholly redundant. "Well welcome to the fight! Glad you could catch up!" Concentrating on the fight once more, he again casts a spell, light welling up around him. The light then flows into his body and shoots from his hands at the vile creature.

OOC: Sorry, but a a small rivalry, even if only short term, seems like fun.

Annoyed that his previous spell had missed its mark, Brae says another prayer to Meda and steps forward. He reaches out his hand to touch the Bleakborn and channel the healing power of his goddess into the creature.

With another outraged roar, SoulFetter takes a step back and, handling his huge axe as though it were no heavier than a willow switch, swings twice in rapid succession . . .

[sblock=Actions]

SoulFetter is now Large, w/ a 10' Reach - when the critter closes it should provoke an AoO.

Tau's first spell strikes home, but the second misses. Brae's touch attack smites the creature, however, Soulfetter's strongest attack this round does not. But Alarion's blade finds its mark! Raul remains focused on defense and keeps his distance from the Bleakborn. No attack from Andrew yet, but he may give us one, still. As a reward for hitting the monster with a non-reach melee weapon, Alarion suffers 1d6=2 HP cold damage, see below. All PCs are within the Bleakborn's heat draining aura now and must succeed on a DC16 Fort Save or suffer 2d6= 9 HP of cold damage. Because SoulFetter was adjacent to the Bleakborn at the start of this turn, and since SF and the monster have tied initiative, the Bleakborn can make a Slam Attack without provoking an AoO from the Urgant, but just this one last time. Soulfetter is struck by the slam ... hard ... taking 13 HP damage from the slam itself and 4 HP additional cold damage, for a total of 17 HP from the melee attack, but the 9 HP damage from the cold aura (to which EVERY CONSTABLE is subject this round) is in addition to that unless the DC 16 Fort save is successful.

[OOC: Depending on how the saves go, the monster will likely be regenerating somewhat this round as it sucks up the constables' body heat. All those who fail to give me a save at all this round will be presumed to have failed, resulting in more regeneration for the monster.]

[OOC: I'm not even looking to see whether the Bleakborn's threat against SF was a confirmed crit. That would just be crappy.]

Just rolling saves - and the crit was indeed confirmed, so I'll add in the damage (if SF crits - doubtful, since he missed with a 19 on the dice - he'll wallop the ever dyin' :):):):):):) out of it, so fair's fair). 5 points of cold with the successful save?
