Jamilee's ears perk, and she draws her bow as she turns towards the sound. To Christopher, she whispers "Doesn't sound good.. can you see hrnthing?", rather urgently.

Christopher was assigned the middle watch. Unfortunately, it was dark and not much was happening. He quickly became bored and paid less attention to his surrounding than he should have.

Surprised from his day dreaming, Christopher looks towards his companion, and then towards the night shrouded wilderness. He strains his eyes but cannot make anything out.

Should we wake the others? The katara responds.

OOC: If given the chance Christopher will pick up a nearby stone or stick and cast light on it. If they are unable to make anything out, he will attempt to throw the lighted object towards to source of Jamilee's discomfort.

Earlier in the evening, Reis lit a small fire in the firepit. He spread his bedroll next to it, with his pack off to one side and his rapier sheathed by his side. Declining to remove his chain shirt, he stretched out, covered himself with his cloak, and fell asleep.

As Jamilee and Christopher speak, he rolls over in his sleep, but does not wake.

Tibard Mountainbore, Cleric 1

When the sun first dips below the horizon Tibard dismounts. He genuflects and says a brief prayer before remounting and continuing. He repeats the procedure again when the sun fully sets.

Before sleeping he takes off his chainmail but keeps it and his mace close by. His holy symbol of Hyrag stays around his neck, of course. He quickly falls into the restful sleep of the untroubled and stays asleep despite whatever's happening around him.

Jamilee creeps towards the sound. The producers of the sound do something more aggressive than just creep: two wolves leap out of the brush, baring their teeth menacingly.

Initiative please! Jamilee and Christopher are the only ones who can act in this surprise round. (One standard action only, as per the surprise round rules)

(OOG: I would like you to use IC because I'm an old fogey who hates change. Also, the ENDice are enormous and ugly, and there are numerous things wrong with the way they've been implemented.)
