The hobgoblin is really, really tired of being cooked by the Flaming Sphere. A power lash of his chain knocks the brave Lenard unconscious. He pays the price tough; Owen doesn't let this assault go unpunished and gives the gang leader a deep cut for his trouble.

    Queen
Well, Shifting is kinda necessary... In order to avoid the flaming sphere.

EDIT: Wouldn't have been a problem, after all...

    Mecurial
Always take the first roll. As long as it doesn't happen too often I'll trust that the attack/target you specified after was not changed based on the result so just specify it in the post.

GM: Status Highlight: CA to everyone on the boss for this round, courtesy of Queen.

Aedan and Lenard are dying. Halcyon... technically he is dying but don't worry too much about it.

    Actions

Halcyon doesn't really need to make saves; he's a warforged so he can't fail and there is no upside to a 20 because Second Wind is spent.

    Get Burned:
    Burning (1d4+5=6)

Recharge (from last round) 5+ (1d6=3)
    Move: get back up
    Standard: Attacks Lenard
    Interrupt by Owen (Mark)
    Interrupt vs AC 22 (1d20+8+2=26, 1d10+4=14)
    Hit! Owen is rocking
vs Lenard (1d20+8-2=25, 1d10+4+1d6=18) At least it worked and the sphere is gone
    recharge 5+ (1d6=5)

    S&S

Big Boss: 38/185 2/2 AP spent, Cursed (Art.). marked (Owen)

Aedan: 0/27 AP spent (dying, 1 failed save)
    Artemis Hark: 4/24 -1H
    Dante: -4/27 +2 def SW&AP used, stabilized
Gilgamesh: 11/26 -1H +2 defenses TENT, SW spent
    Halcyon: -6 /29 AP&SW spent, dying (sorta)
Lenard: -2/28 Ap spent, +1 AC, dying
    Mercurial: 12/24 -2H, AP&SW spent
    Mikara: 3/39, AP spent, Hidden
    Owen: 7/28 AP&SW spent, +2 def
Queen: 20/30 WS +2 defenses (fog of ins.)
Sound of Stone: 5/24 AP&SW spent

    Gang Leader (Sinruth, Hobgoblin)
    Perception 13
    HP 185; Bloodied 92
    AC 22 (24 with phalanx soldier); Fortitude 16, Reflex 16, Will 12
OA: Chain Trip (standard; requires spiked chain, at-will) Weapon
reach 2; +6 vs Reflex; 1d6+4 damage, and the target is knocked prone.
    Phalanx Soldier
Sinruth gains a +2 bonus to AC while at least one hobgoblin ally is adjacent to it.

OOC: No, if one rolls a 20 on ones deathsave then one spends a healing surge not one's second wind

Mikara slinks past Gil, who barely notices. When she reaches the corner of the Hanged man, she nocks an arrow and lets fly,

    Draw the bow.
Is it hard, or is it...
    Easy

The arrow sails down the street striking the gangster the throat. Gasping for breath, the hobgoblin falls to his knees.

As he takes his last breath, he looks up into the blood-spattered eyes of his killer, standing in the middle of the street, fingering the string of her bow like a musical instrument...of death. The chauvinistic pig is not too thrilled to see that a woman has brought him down.

"I hope the money was worth it."

She blows him a kiss. His eyes roll back, and death takes him.
    Actions
    Standard: Evasive Strike
    Target: Who else?
Attack: 1d20+11=31 vs. AC-2(CA) for 39 (31 for ES and 8 for HQ) damage

    Effect: Shift to F26
    Move: to M23

Owen collapses to one knee as the hobgoblin leader falls to Mikara's arrow. A hoarse cheer rises from his throat. A brief moment to catch his breath is all he allows himself, though. One ragged inhalation, and he rises back on his feet to tend to the fallen, although his lack of training makes any such attentions largely symbolic. He stands over the fallen scholar and looks around.

"Can someone help me with Lenard?"

    Failure. Dirty, wretched, miserable failure.

As the boss falls the relatively unscathed Queen reassembles. Allow us.

Failling to stem the damage Queen steps back, That would have worked on a deer.

    Also OoC:
I'm not sure of all my options here, could I have attempted to allow him to use his SW? Could I use my SW or AP to help this?

Calling up to the remaining archer, Sound of Stone shouts "You Hold on up there!"

OOC: Going to try climbing again...1d20+7=18 Is that a failure? Not sure of the DC

As the hobgoblin falls, shadows once again darken Artemis's face, outlining every line, wrinkle and hallow fill with darkness. A moment passes, and the shadow fades, absorbed into him.

He shudders, then starts to move, "Let us see to our friends."

While leaning over Halcyon, he meets Mikara's eyes briefly and nods once.

"Will someone check on the bartender please?"
