Mervin moves the flaming sphere into the room and, trusting a good offense to be the best defense, channels his energy into the sphere causing it to attack the delirious, wounded foe again. It painfully sears the troll's flesh, burning it badly with the promise of more pain to come.

GM: Wikia's down. Does anyone remember Rujah's defenses and skills?

BTW: BB, S28 is a wall behind Mervin. You can't move there. Is that a typo?

Now all I need is a legal shift from [MENTION=1642]BenBrown[/MENTION] (S28 puts him into a wall... not very comfortable), and I'll update.

GM: Actually, I count that the troll had only 54hp going into the round. Riardon did 15, Gensai did 12, and you did 17 (The troll is actually bloodied by the time Mervin's attack hits). That's a grand total of 44 points of damage. At the beginning of the troll's turn, the sphere does the full 15 points of damage. Thus, the troll ends up at -5hp, ergo, dead.
Aaaaaarrrrrhhhhhh!

The troll doesn’t even have time to take a second swipe at the intruding party before Mervin’s flaming sphere completely engulfs him, leaving nothing but ash and stone where he stood.

At first, it seems like the group might be free to stop and look around until Gensai feels a blunt THUD! on the shoulder pad of his cloak. Turning around, he sees a small, blue-scaled reptilian creature looking up and smiling at him, “Sssssorry?” The creature shrugs sheepishly and withdraws his short sword, vainly attempting to hide it behind his back.

While the rhonin contemplates the beast, lighting bolts shoot down the hallway, through the open curtain, striking Riardon and nearly burning the warlord alive. Fenwick, Mervin and Rujah are watch helplessly as blue flames engulf their friend, and fury of small, scaly creatures bob into view in the passageway beyond the curtain.

“Thieeeeefssssss! Not welcome thieeeeeffffs!”

Two of the little monsters charge down the hall and drive deep cuts into Rujah, seeming to be under the protection of some magic, bonding them to their companions further back in the hallway.[sblock=Mechanics] Troll: Takes 15 damage from flaming sphere and dies
