I like the weapon idea but I'm not too sure about the class. I have to look that over when I have a bit more time.

As for the weapon, I have a few questions:

What is the Critical range?
What type of damage (Slashing, etc) does it do?
How much does it weigh?
Are both of the Proficiencies needed to use it Exotic?
What does it look like? A description would be nice.
Is it a matchlock, flintlock or some other type of weapon?
Is it magical or mundane? If it mundane what skill is used to create it and what’s the DC to make it?

The Gunblade KD is talking about is from Final Fantasy 8, where the main character, Squall, uses it as his main weapon.

I would say that the blade would be 19-20/X2, and the bullets would be X3.

The blade would do slashing damage, and the bullets would do piercing damage. I would say that the Gunblade might weigh somewhere between 7-13 pounds.

I can't answer your question about the feats, but if I were to do it, I would have it cost one Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Gunblade) feat to use. You could not use the weapon at all if you did not have the feat because of the shape of the handle. See the picture for clarification.

The best description I can give for the type of gun it is would be close to a six-shot revolver.

The Gunblade is probably a mundane weapon. Depending on the technological level of the setting, it may or may not have the ability to fire bullets. It could, of course, be enchanted. I would increase the range increment of the bullets to 30 ft, though.

That’s odd. When I 1st tough of a Gunblade I pictured a shotgun/polearm type weapon not a pistol/sword.

Thanks for all your help guys!
