Airwalkrr's 4e Game OOC - Suspended Indefinitely

I've got a Rogue that would be perfect for the slot your looking for. She is a very social thief, Cha/dex arielist build, the only issue is she is an Elf. I'm not sure how they fit into your setting from your description. Sheet and requisite scans attached below

Here is Scarlet. She is 90% PHB, with a little Dragon for her utility power (scan included), and a few peices of mundane gear (scan also included). Shes sneaky, dodgey, and can talk her way into and out of most trouble. She is a 'reformed' thief, preying primarily on the wealthy, and taunting one poor city guard who has been trying to catch her for years. She's average height, average build, pale skin almost yellow in the right light and has a head of back length red hair, which is where her Nom de Plume comes from.

I believe we can take on a fifth character no-tweed. Including an elf wouldn't be a problem. However, elves in Geora never have red hair. Their hair color is almost exclusively black and their eye color almost exclusively green. In addition, having red hair has a certain stigma attached to it regardless of the race of the individual. Generally only tieflings are "gifted" with that trait and it is considered a sign of the Demon King when a child is born with it. Such children are generally shunned by their respective societies (except for tieflings who are shunned by all). I suppose it could be possible that an elf could be born with red hair, but it would be unlikely the elf would ever be accepted in elven society. Now it would be possible for your character to dye her hair red as a method of intimidation, but it wouldn't get you any friends. The only red-haired individual the party has encountered thus far is a low-born bar wench at the Rushing Boar Tavern. The man who owns the bar, Rorsh the Red, is known by this moniker more due to the clothes he wears than any hair color (his hair is black and he is human). I'll leave the hair and how it gets its red color up to you.

Shayuri and no-tweed, your characters are approved. Go ahead and post them to the RG. You can start posting in the IC thread as soon as you are ready. There is no need to read Chapter 1 if you don't want to. Here is the short version of events so far in Chapter 2 until you get a chance to catch up on the thread: The party was hired by a half-elf named Celen who works for the Republic of Berandal. He asked you to escort a man named Omar Cay to a secluded monastery that lies in the Titan Mountains that make up part of the border between the Republic of Berandal and the hostile Johak Empire. Omar Cay has lost his memory but Celen has determined he came from this monastery and the monks there have offered to take him in. Along the way you stopped at a roadside inn where you discovered one of the rooms was haunted by the spirit of a previous traveler who died within leaving his daughter behind. You put the spirit to rest after promising to honor his request to take his daughter to the same monastery to which you are taking Omar. His 12-year old daughter has joined your group, but it seems she has some strange power over the minds of others. You are now at a roadside shrine to Avandra which is supposed to mark the path that leads into the mountains.

Hm. Alright, I just want to throw this out there, but does the group really need two dex/cha sneaky strikers? If No-Tweed wishes to do the rogue on that basis...perhaps I (with permission) can modify my submission?

I have some ideas, which I will PM to you shortly.

It won't take long to make the adjustments.

Edit - Between a rogue and a fighter, and potentially a cleric depending on build, perhaps something designed for ranged combat. An archer ranger perhaps, or a sorceror...

You might also want to consider that no-tweed is an account with only 3 posts. I am only willing to bet even odds that we will hear from no-tweed again. I've seen new accounts disappear off the face of the earth rather quickly. Even if no-tweed joins us, there is no guarantee the player will stick around as it might be his/her first foray into pbp and s/he may or may not like it and decide to bail for one reason or another. Scarlet seems a little more geared towards ranged attacks and social skills. You could opt to be a more melee-oriented character with sneaky skills without filling the same role. Never hurts to have two strikers in the party either. I've often found that once the roles of defender, leader, and controller are filled, I like having as many strikers as possible. Kinda like in MMOs you always want to have a certain minimum number of dedicated healers and crowd-controllers/aggro-holders and everyone else you want to be DPS.

Not disappearing, just got swamped with honey do's and physics yesterday. Right, so about the hair. I'm perfectly fine with swapping her hair color to something more natural, the red hair was the last remnant of the NPC for another game she started out as. *Swaps hair color to a deep brown* In her original incarnation she was changeling thief in an Ebberron game I ran once that was confounding a local Sharn watch constable and alternatingly helping/hindering the party. She'd always leave a piece of scarlet silk at the scene of her crimes and always kept some bit of scarlet in whatever disquise she wore, her favorite being a busty Elf with red hair.

Anyways, I will go and get caught up with were the party is and post within the next two hours. Cheers folks!

no-tweed, regarding your magic items, you have to pick items from the PH for your starting equipment. The +1 delver's leather armor is fine for your level 3 item. The parrying dagger and distance shuriken aren't in the PH so you can't begin play with those. And remember your other two magic items have to be level 1 and level 2 (one of each).

Shayuri remember to post your character to the RG when you get the chance.

They aren't in the PHB? *checks compendium* So they aren't! Could have sworn my builder said they were. I'll swap those out for something more appropriate in a bit when I get back to my laptop (few hours). For now I'll just pretend they are both simple +1 weapons. My post will be up shortly.

Agh. Items only from the PH?

Okay...alterations needed...

Question. Ki focuses aren't in the PH. At all. But that's my class implement.

Can I start with one?

Ki implements are fine as long as any magical enhancements come from the PH. More stuff will be available later. But this is my first time running 4e. Keeping things simple for now.
