The old man, who had been cleaning Drache, shrugs at the suggestion. Ve hunt bugs now? Thought ve on mission?

"It'll only take a second," Tabitha assures the old man, "And clearing the roads of this hazard...well, I think it entitles us to whatever goodies might still be on the horrible, shriveled, dessicated corpses those things left behind."

She kicks the nest. "Malkyr! Any horrible, shriveled, dessicated corpses covered in jewels yet?"

Malkyr moves smoothly thought the trees and his blade parts a few strands of webs to allow him access to the heart of the 'nest'. It seems to be relatively freshly built. Malkyr suspects the spiders have just arrived in the area within the last couple of days. There are no eggs in the nest, but their are two relatively fresh bodies wrapped in webbing and sucked dry of fluids.

Both are dressed in travel clothes. From his motley and a collection of props you'd guess one was a performer of some sort, perhaps a juggler. The other man is more interesting. He carries a fine pistol and an even finer hand crossbow. He wears leathers concealed within his cloths such that his armored nature is obvious only under careful scrutiny. Between the two men there are assorted coins worth a total of 10 gp, with the armed traveler having the bulk of it. Upon a more careful search, Malkyr finds a small leather folio under the armed man's sash. Inside he discovers 3 gems, pink Aragonites worth perhaps a hundred gold each and another mystery. Three drawings of a young man in noble attire. He looks somewhat familiar...

That appears to the be the extent of the find in the nest.
