We'll have the second article out pretty soon. I'm just putting the finishing touches on it the writing today, and then its off to editing and layout. It took a bit longer than I'd hoped as I had a delay in the play-testing I had planned and I'm editing my latest Advanced Feats book for Open Design.
I have to say, I Want My Magic Back is a really fun project so I'm glad people are digging it! Big props to Morrus for dreaming up the idea for this!

Okay, so I'm a Pathfinder player, so I wasn't impressed by the title of these articles. My magic is right there, thank you very much! But then I actually looked through the first two PDFs and I must say that they have some lovely old school flavor! Ever since the Greyhawk magic-user names became product identity, spell names have lost a lot of their charm. Hideous Laughter is no where near as cool as Tasha's Uncontrollable Hideous Laughter.
So while this isn't directly useful for me, it is a good read. Kudos.

where does this "25 power uses per day at level 30" thing come from? given the 2 at-will powers and the 4 encounter powers, not to mention that some of the utility powers will be encounter powers, wouldn't this limitation have more to do with the number of rounds of combat per day and not a "limited selection"?
I just have a hard time swallowing that particular argument, unless there is a face of this that I'm just not noticing. I'm not saying i don't agree to some point that a spellcaster with a wider variety of choices wouldn't be a bad thing, but having played spellcasters who at level one get a couple magic missiles and then have to hit stuff with a stick for the rest of the day, I'm not going to complain about 4E.
