    Faerie Adventure: What System?

    Hi all,

I've decided to pen an adventure that relies heavily on Faerie Materials. If I did so, I was thinking that it would be low- to mid-level range, and probably take a period of 3-6 months to write (with maps, art, etc.), based on other projects I have on the go.

I would then make it available to whoever was interested, as a pdf, for a very nominal fee (something along the range of $1-2, I was thinking). If there is a good enough response, I might pen an entire adventure path.

My big question is, which system to write for? I have entered my own special niche for my personal games, but I can adapt!

    Hence this poll.

Thank you for your time & interest.

I would dearly love a Dresden Files RPG faerie adventure.

    Yeah, I'm probably an outlier.

Of the options you listed I went with Pathfinder and OSRIC (1e) as those are the two I'm currently interested in.

I like the idea of Dresden Files as that's the system I run at conventions.

I chose two options for 3 games:

4th Edition, just to prove that you CAN traipse through faerie circles.

Dresden Files, because my wife would love to play it.

Witch Hunter: the Invisible World, if they don't already have one (just getting into the system).

Call of Cthulhu would be fun, too, but AFAICT 3pp cannot publish adventures for that game.

Oooo, this would trump DF for me, if you could publish an adventure for it.

Dresden Files is a FATE system which is an OGL game. Should be possible.

Pathfinder would be my first choice, but I'd mostly just like to see what you write, given your faerie encounters and advice.

While true that Dresden is based on Fate, there's no additional open content in it beyond what's inherited from Spirit of the Century. The intellectual property of the Dresden Files license itself is especially not open for third party use. Fans can do free stuff and share it under the guidelines of Jim Butcher's fan fiction friendly policy, but no 3PP commercial product would be legal.
