Underdark-Quest :The Vault of Larin Karr, Cont -- Hill Giant Battle

Kerlan utters some quick arcane words, and a bolt of fire springs forth from his hand, striking the giant in the face! Simeon lunges with his scimitar and slices twin deep cuts in the giant's sinews just before he abuses the giant's nads with the edge of his shield, eliciting a very loud howl of pain from the great beast. Manny is busy casting a spell to assist his fellow wizards, but his tiny 'friend' Relos assaults the giant, prying his big toenail off for some significant damage. Capizzio attacks but fails to connect this round. Tylara has more luck firing her arrows into the giant's leg. The Hill Giant again brings his greatclub to bear, taking advantage of Capizzio's vulnerability due to his miss this round, but he still barely misses the lucky wizard..

Again the brownie gestures and sings out, "Taguon tumingen!" this time his Eidolon flashes a brief glow, which quickly disappears. The cat-like creature again savages the fallen giant, tearing into it with tooth and claw.

Cappizzio tries once again tohasted stab the gient sprawled out before him. in his movement, the enspelled dagger from francesca flanks and attacks with him allowing a good opening *staaaab!*

OOC:

Fiery Burst doesn't have an attack roll. It's an AOE attack. It does have a reflex save for half though.

OCC: Not sure if 16 is a hit (rolled dmg jic) but the thing is still prone correct? I haven't gotten an AoO from it standing so I think so.

Simeon thinks giants are hard creatures to hurt no matter where you try and hit them. He starts to break out in a sweat and wonders if he shouldn't have stayed home and... naww this is a lot more fun.

Tylara takes a step back from the giant to stay out of range of the club and unleashes another volley of arrows. She is quite pleased with her archery as both shaft pound into the giant.

Underdark-Quest :The Vault of Larin Karr, Cont -- End of Hill Giant Battle

The Brownie's eidolon savages the beastly giant, Capizzio stabs it, Francheska's dagger of force flanks with Cappy and both stab it also, even as Francheska is sure it has missed. Her fiery burst, likewise, scorches the giant's nether regions, even as Simeon's blade and shield both connect with the creature, as do both of Tylara's arrows. The giant tries to stand up, stumbles, and falls dead in a heap before you. [NOTE TO SELF: I gotta use tougher monsters and more of them, too!]

OOC: Notably absent from the last round of this slug-fest was Kerlan, but it was sufficient to lay the creature low anyway. Better luck next time, K! You still get a share of xp, of course.
