Thanks for letting me know pathfinderq1. Good luck with the move! Would you rather I NPC Brenn or another player?

The man-like wolf howls as the arrows pierce him, but manages to stand up as they knock him down. The other huge wolf runs at Quagmire and bites at him, piercing his armor. The white wolf tries to rip off the boards on the windows, but the boards are nailed on too well.

Suddenly yelping and barking can be heard, like that from young pups. Out of the forest appears several young dire wolfs. Even at their young age they are still huge, bigger than that of regular wolfs. They growl and bark, excited to hunt with the rest of their pack.

Dorn's form is barely visible underneath the cover of his undulating shroud (Minor - sustain shroud). A trio of shining, icy spears emerges from the darkness, streaking toward the wolves as Dorn attempts to cull the herd (Ice Javelins hits Pup 1 for 14 cold damage, Pup 4 for 18 cold damage, and Omega for 23 cold damage. All three take ongoing 5 cold damage (save ends))

"Where to?" he says quietly to Brenn - the half-orc's voice is oddly warped by his arcane shroud.

"Right here is fine," Brenn replied in a clipped tone- but even as he spoke, he moved out along the roof line, looking for a clear shot. The swarm of deadly chickens made targeting difficult, though, and he ended up firing an arrow directly into the ground beside one of the larger wolves. Then he stepped back into the darkness...

Jax follows Sir Exsixten's lead and flees from the puppies. He comes alongside the swarm of the chickens and throws a lightning-quick dagger thrust to the largest wolf's rear. The painful wound causes the wolf to give Jax an angry glare - exactly what the kobold wanted, since the distraction provides Quagmire with an opportunity of his own.


OOC: Bonus damage! Until the start of Jax's next turn, the next ally who hits DWΩ #2 and has combat advantage against it deals 2d8+4 extra damage.

Quagmire tries, but his counterstroke fails to penetrate the wolf's thick hide. "Will no one rid me of this damned wolf?" he bellows. Improbably, the classical allusion distracts the slavering, blood-crazed beast.

The stalker moves forward and is about to pounce when it falls into the pit trap. You can hear it snarl in anger as it gets up readies to jump out. The large white wolf tries again to rip the boards covering the window to shreds, but once again it fails. The huge wolf claws at Sir ExSixTen, but both attacks only graze his armor.

The pups are more successful. One runs up to the Warforged and manages to dart through the mass of chickens and grab him by the ankle, dragging him away from the fray. A second bites Jax, grabbing him by the arm. Another circles around the back of the house while the other tries to get through the fence, but hurts its paws on the caltrops.

"Alright beastie," Andras addresses the wolf as he readies another arrow, "your skin is too tough for my arrows. But what about your eyes?" True to his word, the genasi's next shot goes deep into one of the creature's eye sockets, killing it. Andras then moves around to distract the pup attacking Jax.
