Status of Star Wars RPG/Mini License?

About a year ago I read that WoTC declined to renew the Star Wars license for SAGA and the mini line.

Since then I had heard that "some" company was in talks to acquire the license and keep Star Wars gaming alive in some fashion (mini war gaming?, PnP RPG?, LaRP?, Pogs?).

So what's the word? Any new information a year or so after WoTC dropped the license?

I just got back from Disney World with my 8 year old son, and the Star Wars Weekend/Jedi Academy (He's a Padawan now, I'm so proud!). I've got a real jones to get him started in some SW RPG fun.

After that debacle last year, I'd have thought word of who had it would have popped up by now.

Same here. I'm thinking that it might be revealed at GenCon because waiting till Celibration VI is rather unlikely, and just making a press release would be so anticlimactic considering the license's awesomeness.

I guess I'll just have to work with the SAGA stuff I already have.

Hopefully there will be some news at GenCon.

I saw some of the star wars Masters of the Force boosters at a "fiVe Bel^ow" store for $4 a pack. A friend of mine scooped them all up though.
