    Velmont is also correct about Temp Hit Points from multiple sources, they do not stack, you keep the highest one.

    The party's counter attack is brutal, with almost everyone hitting
    the abomination, staring with the potent fire attack by Phoenix. It
    was the hunter's arrow that finally finished it off, just as the foe
    was going to make another attack against Rocco. As the arrow pierced
    the head of the abomination, it fell forward with a heavy thud. Within
    seconds, the body liquifies, slowly melting into the dark shadow
    floor of the room. A few seconds more all that is left is a small
    puddle of obsidian liquid.

    A familiar voice echos from the walls...Rocco Shadowlost. You
    have gained favor of the Lord of Shadows.


    Rocco

    The voice continues, but only you hear it
    Powers and gifts she will grant you...in exchange for your soul.


    As the voice of the messenger fades away, the party notices that the
    remains of the abomination begins mold itself into the shape of a perfect sphere.
    Shadows swirl from the orb. It stays stationary for a moment, then begins to move,
    rolling slowly in the direction of the dwarf, stopping at Rocco's feet.

    Rocco

    You notice that black shadowed orb has the same radius as
    the three orbs previously discovered during your adventure. This orb is
    jet back, with swirling grey shadows. What do you do?

    Summary of Events
    1. Prevented a flesh golem from killing the Weinfurter family. Body guard turned bad.
    2. Dismantled the Crossed Sword and Skull Gang by killing Leader Hank the Tank
    3. Prevented a possible encounter with a pack of wolves...for the moment
    4. Alpha wolf presents orb of nature to Lerrick who gives it to Nementah.
    5. Halleck finds orb of elements after party defeats band of ogres and a hill giant. He gives it to Raijin.
    6. Defeated Bosch's dragonborn minions who tried to disrupt the ritual for removing the mark of Lerrick.
    7. Mark is successfully removed from Lerrick by brother Buchta.
    8. Encounter the great dragon Bosch for the first time. Dragon leaves but swears revenge.
    9. Party returns Lerrick to mother in Daunton, but the father was not there as he was on an urgent task for brother Navio, something related to the shield.
    10. Rocco tested for invoking a god. The party as well as other patrons at the tavern help defend Rocco from her wrath.


    ooc: This marks the end of this encounter. The only thing that needs to be resolved
    it what Rocco intends to do with the orb.

    Bell continues her harmonics, chanting and playing with the noise of the room. She sends trys again to help and hurt simutaneously but is having trouble concentrating through the chaos.

    He bows to everyone. Then he bows down to retrieve the sphere, but before he touches it he says from near the floor:
    "You may want to step back a little now."

    He waits for few moments before picking the sphere up.

    "Yeah, 'dealing' is the real word here. Like I wanted to get into this. You saw what we all did, they got us at the tavern. No fault of my own, except maybe running my mouth a bit too freely. Don't get into a bind over this."

    replies Rocco lightly. Those observant enough may notice that he's worried about the implications of this test, but he'd be damned if he admitted as much. And damned again if he's show fear or weakness to a creature not of his plane. Or any creature, really.
