    Updated Monster Damage

    Just wondering if there's a simple table/equation to use to convert monsters from the MM and MM2 to the new, updated (and more deadly) damage I hear new monsters are doing. I'm mostly using MM, MM2 and the old downloadable Monster Builder for my campaign, and I would hate for my characters to roll over the majority of what I throw at them.

    The quick-and-dirty method is to double the static modifier. So if it's 2d6+3, double the 3 so that it's 2d6+6.

    Alternatively, you can do +1/2 level or +1/level for brutes. Reduce this somewhat for multi-target effects.

    Standard monster damage is Level+8. This equates to +0.5/level on the old monster damage expressions.

    Low is -25%, High is +25%, Limited is around +25% to +50% depending on how limited it is.

    This is getting kind of ridiculous. Google is your friend! Monster manual 3 new damage expressions are also summed up by the Monster Manual 3 on a business card.
