It's looking like I will be a treant via polymorph with a huge spiked chain tripping people up .

If I were a huge character wielding a gargantuan spiked chain would my range be increased past a 30? I realize that there would be a -2 for improper sizing on my attack roll.

No. Using a bigger or smaller weapon does nothing to change your reach.

I accept this as the ruling, but have to say that realistically, it doesn't make much sense. "I now have a 10 foot longer chain!... too bad I can't hit things with that last 10 feet."
