The double doors have huge dents in the from the powerful blows against them by the golem. Upon closer inspection you realize that the doors where not meant to open inward. They were meant to swing outward. That is why the golem had no success in opening them. The steel frame was strong enough to withhold the attacks. As you search for a handle you find none. These doors where never meant to be opened from the side that they party is located. However. The attacks created breaks in the steel plate in the door. Behind the steel plate is another steel plate for the other side of the door. If someone were able to grab place their hand in the space between the plates and pull outward...

Silly golem! The door was not meant to open outward but inward or sideways or something.... Sharpe says, sticking his hands through the cracks in the door the monster caused and trying to pull the door open with his puny muscles.
