Leif's All-Eladrin DweomerFall Saga [4E, IC01]

Lou

Explorer
Rinivan

Rinnvan's eyes are as large as saucers and his jaw hangs slack as he stares at the dragon in front of him. It's so much larger than he thought. And it's teeth are so large and sharp. He feels naked and lost as his brothers converse with the reptile...no, not a reptile, a DRAGON! As Quarion meets his gaze, Rinivan blinks and snaps his jaw shut. Dine on his steed? A smile crosses his face until news otherwise hits his ears.

"So there it is -- Will you accept this quest, or shall we agree to disagree and resume our antagonism?"

Suddenly, the heroes all become aware that they are fully equipped -- some sort of cunning illusion prevented their awareness of this fact before.

"I cannot speak for all of us, but I agree. There are more important things to do than continuing our... misunderstanding."

Galin answers.

Scotley

Hero
The sudden realization that he is fully equipped tempts Quarion to rash action. The siblings see an all too familiar look on his face that never bodes well. But at the last he controls himself. "Ah what the heck, I always did like traveling to new places. Let us put aside our differences and sort out this dweomer fall."

"Exxxxxcellent!" says Archangault with a sinister twinkle inhis eye as he gleegully wrings his foreclaws together.

The dragon makes a brief arcane gesture and sings a phrase that is pitched so low that it vibrates the Heroes' teeth, and then he says, "There, 'tis done. Your steeds now know the way," and with a dismissive gesture, he bids you to be off on your errand. The beast seems a bit drained as he slowly lowers his head to rest upon his foreclaws.

The Journey to end DweomerFall

The Feywild Chargers gallop off across the meadows, and before the far side of the first is reached, they have already begun to plane shift through alternate prime material existences. The changes are subtle and gradual at first, the grass changes shades of green, there are more, or sometimes less, clouds above you. Sometimes it is more abupt, as when you shift through a series of planes where the weather changes rather quickly from sunny, to windy, to raining, to snowing, back to windy, to a clear starlit night, and finally back to sunny. Needless to say, it becomes very difficult to judge the passage of time on this trip, but you do finally begin to feel some slight pangs of hunger. And the Feywild Chargers are quick with the entertainment for the journey as well, as they sing:

"We're running along the folds of space
We're trekking down the paths of lace
We're simply hoping that we-can-be-a
Brightening force in Entrachea!

Ennnn-tra-che-a!
Ennnn-tra-che-a!

Oft we're told how not to go there
We've never seen a way to sew there
By warp and woof we'll be-set-free-a
And weave ourselves to Entrachea!

Ennnn-tra-che-a!
Ennnn-tra-che-a!"

The Journey to End Dweomerfall

The Eladrin siblings ride their Feywild Chargers onto barrenn oval plain lying in the shadow of a rough, craggy, seething tor that belching forth gouts of ash, smoke, and flame. The plain is approximately five miles long, east to west, and four miles wide, north to south. The volcano lies just north of the northern edge, ahd the siblings find themselves in the approximate center of the plain.

The Feywild chargers communicate with their riders/masters telepathically, "We must stop here. There is a 'singularity' here around which we cannot navigate. We tried to do so, but it calls us, beckons us to it, and we are powerless to resist further. Best we stop here before it pulls us into itself." The feywild chargers seem uncharictaristically skittish, and the siblings note that beads of sweat have appeared on their flanks, which is most unusual and indicative of an extreme effort. Then their eyes begin to dart about and they snort nervously as they say telepathically, "Oh, dear, it comes closer!"
