Quiet Screams, or Screamers are silent deadly constructs built by dwarven engineers against the Orcish threat during the Hundred years war. The Screamer lies dorment burrowed beneath the ground and activates when the right amount of vibration "wakes it up"
Combat
The Quiet Scream is a programmed device that pops up out of the ground one activated. A screamer will attempt to stun a victim with either its blade (which is usually poisoned with Goblinbane to wreak havoc on the goblins, and orcs that the dwarves were fighting) or with its sonic blast ability.
If activated due to massive tremors the Quiet Scream will unleash its Sonic Death attack. At the center of the screamers orb its "eye" a gem worth 50Gp is what directs it. I can determine whether or not whether its target is a Dwarf or something else but thats about it.
Sonic Scream This ability has two settings.
----Sonic Burst Is as the Spell in the PHB
----Sonic Death A screamer will unleash this ability only if it is activated by massive tremors (such as a party walking over the surface of the ground) Sonic death is a sudden blast of subsonic sound dealing 8d6 points of sonic damage to everyone within a 30ft radius of the Screamer. The damage is taken as if a called shot against the head of a person, on a successfull save (DC 20) a victim can take half damage. But otherwise most victims die of hemoraging unless they are cured.
