Patrons of Adventure
by Wayne Peacock and Dee McKinney

Published by Kismet Games Electronic Book (38 pages)

Patrons of Adventure is a collection of 10 intriguing and diverse non-player characters who can be used as a game aid for any fantasy d20 game. Each patron is fully detailed with accompanying d20 stats, an adventure outline, plot hooks and enough plot seeds to grow into many nights of adventure. The patrons can easily be “dropped” right into your existing game, or serve as a launchpoint for new campaigns. Additional d20 material includes a character class and magic items.

Thanks

Thanks Eosin. We worked very hard to make sure that each NPC was filled with tons of plot ideas. I hope you download the preview and take a look.

Here's a bit more from the intro...

Patrons of Adventure can be used as a game aid for any fantasy d20 game. Each patron is a fully detailed NPC with accompanying d20 stats, an adventure outline, plot hooks and enough adventure seeds to spark many nights of exploration.

Why not publish full adventures? It’s true that many advertise “fully detailed” adventures that you can just pluck off of some website or store shelf and supposedly run right out of the shrink-wrap. But, we all know that even the best adventure requires a fair amount of work to integrate into a campaign setting. More importantly, once you are finished, you’re done. You put the adventure on the shelf and it sits there - never used for the same group of players again. The authors of Patrons of Adventure acknowledge up front that the DM will have to change some place names, and maybe even the names of some of the patrons themselves to integrate them in to your game. (There’s a brief section below to help you with this.)

Unlike a static module, Patrons of Adventure offers many more hours of gaming. We wrote it to stay off your bookshelf. The best adventures grow naturally out of the characters backgrounds and interaction with vivid NPCs - characters in their own right, with their own motivations, goals, and histories. Patrons of Adventure gives the game master all of the raw materials for such adventures.

Instead of renting you a room for the night, we want to help you build a house.
