Splitting up on a Skill Challenge allows us to maximize our skill specializations but might cause problems on failure. I'm fine w a split.

Probably worth noting is that this isn't a standard skill challenge as much as 'a bunch of skill-related things connected to investigating'. It's possible using class/race/theme abilities, powers, or rituals will lead to information as well (frex, using Tatterde's ability to speak with animals and/or Teclis' ability to change form will probably give you a major leg up on finding out what the undercover cat familiar is up to).
