Neurotic

I plan on living forever. Or die trying.
, what is the range of the ability? I know I could look it up, but I started writing this before and...

It's burst 5...as missed that she's under the platform...as they are 6 above the ground and she is 1 square high I'd say she's missed because she's dwarf goliath...if she was towering monstrosity, her head would be in the area of effect :p

Seeing Chael falter, Alexia incants a quick spell to restore her ally. She then slices into one of the harpies, hexing it with additional weakness.

[sblock=Actions]Minor: Majestic Word on Chael, healing surge + 8, granting 5 thp, and Chael can slide one square.
Standard: Guiding Strike Harpy 2. Hits AC 24 for 15 damage. If that hits, the Harpy takes a -2 penalty to AC until the end of my next turn and I'll use Essence of Death to deal another 10 necrotic damage to it.

Save vs immobilize: fail. I might spend the entire fight rooted to this spot.[/sblock]

With Alexia's help, Chael moves back into the battle and Dusk then magically appears next to her.

"Well, that takes care of those two." Chael says as she knocks two more gnolls into the pit. "I hope that monster is hungry."

OOC: [Mention=11]FourMonos[/Mention], just as a reminder, Harpy 3 was marked by Chael last turn.

[sblock=Actions]
Alexia heals Chael 25 hit points. 6+25 = 31.
Alexia slid Chael to E18.
Alexia gave Chael 5 temp hit points.
Free: Regeneration 4 for 35 hit points (Chael no longer bloody)
Move: Shift two squares to F16 (Boots of Fencing Master encounter power, gain +1 AC and +1 Reflex boots)
Minor: Summon Dusk (uses healing surge, Dusk has 16 hit points, Alexia and Chael have +2 to all defenses, Dusk has +1 to all defenses)
Standard: Magic Stone on Harpy 3, GCF2, and GG1 in that order.

Harpy 3 gets an opportunity attack

natural 1 Harpy 3, 24 GCF2 (save 5), and GG1 30 (save 4) vs. Reflex, 12 damage

GCF2 and GG1 hit and fall.

Falling Damage for GCF2 and GG1.

24 / 2 = 12 damage GCF2, 18 / 2 = 9 damage GG1

GCF2 and GG1 are both prone.

Harpy 3 is marked and at -3 to attack anyone other than Chael if Chael is not included in attack.
[/sblock]

[sblock=Immediate Actions]
In order:

Not doing Mind Spike this round.

IR
Mind Spike
Trigger: An adjacent enemy marked by Chael deals damage to her ally with an attack that doesn’t include her as a target.
Effect: The target takes force and psychic damage equal to the damage that its attack dealt to Chael's ally.

If Alexia hit, use Guardian's Counter this round.

II
Guardian's Counter
Close burst 2; Trigger: An ally within 2 squares of Chael is hit by an attack and she is not included in the attack.
Effect: Chael and the ally shift up to 2 squares as a free action, swapping positions. She becomes the target of the triggering attack, in place of the ally. After the attack is resolved, Chael can make a basic attack against the attacker.

If hit, will do Forceful Reversal Augment 1 (without shifting).

IR
Forceful Reversal (augment 1)
Trigger: An enemy hits Chael.
Attack: +14 vs AC
Hit: 1d8+6 force damage, and Chael pushes the target 1 square.
Effect: Chael doesn’t get her normal standard action on her turn.
Augment 1:
Hit: 1d8+6 force damage, and Chael pushes the target 1 square and then shifts 1 square to the square the target vacated. In addition, she gains combat advantage against the target until the end of her next turn.
Effect: Chael gets her normal standard action on her turn.
Augment 2
Hit: 2d8+6 force damage, and Chael knocks the target prone. The target cannot stand up until the start of its next turn.
Effect: Chael gets her normal standard action on her turn.

Malehan finish his opponent and move towards his new position to kill the next.

[SBLOCK=OOC]@FourMonos: I forgot about that restriction. You did good.

Standard: Overwhealming Strike vs AC on GCF5 (2d20.takeHighest(1)+15=26) Hit for Damage on GCF5 (2d4+11=16). Malehan shift to X13 and CGF5 is slided to W12.

Minor: Sustain Soul Seeker and Soul Seeker moves to V13

If CGF5 is dead, Malehan regains 4 hp and his new oath of enmity is the Troll.
[/SBLOCK]

[SBLOCK=To Players]
@.Players: Anyone who want can use this power for an attack roll of an encounter or daily power.
Divine Guidance (Immediat Interrupt * Close Burst 10)
Target: An ally within 10 squares of you makes an attack roll against your oath of enmity target.
Effect: That ally makes a second attack roll and uses either result.
[/SBLOCK]

@.DM: Also, during the monster turn, Malehan might use one of these interrupt. If more than one trigger is valid at the same time, use the first in list. Please note I might change the Triggering conditions.

Great Hunger Falchion (Immediate Reaction)
Trigger:
1) An enemy adjacent to you scores a critical hit against you.
2) The enemy is not a Minion.
Effect: Roll this weapon’s critical damage dice (including any extra damage from the weapon’s property => +2d8, add +2d4 for each critical rolled during this encounter) and deal that much damage to the triggering enemy.

Belt of Raging Endurance (Immediate Interrupt)
Trigger:
1) An enemy hits you and causes damage.
2) Malehan takes 15 damages or more.
Effect: You gain resist 15 against that attack, but you also take 10 damage at the end of your next turn.

GM: [MENTION=91452]rb780nm[/MENTION] you forgot your save vs. dazed: nope, sorry!
[MENTION=2011]KarinsDad[/MENTION] Even taking the mark into account, the harpy hit Alexia, thanks for pointing it out.

The troll's attempt to blind the undead knight in darkness is met with yet another jarring hammer smash to the face. The troll falls down before Czern pummels it again. As Malehan kills the target of his deity's scorn, Czern uses the dying gnoll's energy to flay some of the shadow off the troll.

The troll laughs, "You are not so unlike us, undead one. Join us! Slay these weak fools who walk with you and join us!"

The gnolls to the west, newly found in the muck, clamber up the scaffolding. The first gnoll knocked off the platform finally reenters the fray landing two slashing attacks on the shifter warrior. Along with another nasty arrow from the archer, Chael is swaying dangerously close to death.

The harpies continue to attack and batter against Alexia, but fail to land another blow.

At about the same time, everyone hears the whistling sound of something moving at fast speed. Anyone who has been near the impact of a catapult recognizes the characteristic sound of stone hurtling through the air. There is a pause the fight as everyone's head angles up to find out the source... or impact... of the noise.

A second later a large grey boulder swoops down next to the bridge, the air blast from the projectile blows hard over the platform as the object impacts with the sludge down below, creating a explosion of filth. The harpy next to the bridge appears to be missing, until you see down in the muck, trapped under the boulder that just landed right in the middle of the battle. Its legs twitch in a disconcerting way as the harpy's head remains below the level of the slime.

The troll rambles to its feet again, shouting, "Finish them fast, you fools! We have to go!"

The shadow troll attacks the priest, hitting him with a shadow claw. A moment later the shadow troll screams in agony as it is consumed by the priest's magic.

The gnoll who hits kal'Tarron also experiences pain from the priest's magic.

The troll lands two solid blows on the undead knight, then cries out in pain. With a snare he summons a third shadow troll who attacks Malehan, but misses.

[sblock=religion 15] The gnolls and troll all bear marks of offering to Yeenoghu, the patron demon of gnoll kind. Other beings worship the jackal headed demon as well. [/sblock]
[sblock=nature or dungeoneering 18] The thing in the muck is definitely a otyugh, not surprising given they feed on anything and are common in sewers or other disgusting areas. Given their low intelligence, these creatures are likely neutral and not allies of the other creatures here. [/sblock]
[sblock=perception30] The boulder shape is very odd, angular at places, sloped at others. But the most odd thing is the whole boulder seems symmetric. [sblock=perception 35] That boulder is a not a boulder, but a stone creature holding onto the harpy. Well, holding the harpy's head submerged [/sblock] [/sblock]

[sblock= Hero Round Summary]

The Depths Platforms Round 6?
Rohna, Goliath Fighter/Warlord 8

OOC: Rohna specifically dismissed her armor and slung her hammer/shield so she could climb unimpeded. So with her speed at 6, she climbs at 3 and is already back on the top of the platform at Z/10 at the beginning of this turn.

Rohna cracks her neck as she stands back up on top of the platform. Her glossy black plate flows back over her chiseled, obsidian physique as she draws the fire-blackened Kordestad from its perch on her back. She lowers her gaze on the gnoll at the back and charges. Rohna's maneuver cannot be mistaken as the hazy form of a rhino with lowered head winks into being around her. The crunch as korestad catches the underside of the untouched gnoll's chin can be heard across the entire platform. The littlest goliath is apparently done talking. (Meanwhile the first platform) Without his rider, Olaf shies away as the combat draws toward him.

GM: The bad guys rolled ridiculously well this turn.

OOC:
This turn??? Are you kidding? From Chael's point of view, it's been 4 rounds out of 5 of the DM rolling out of his butt. This wasn't even the heaviest hitting round even though she got tagged 3 times this round and Chael's been hit 5 of the last 6 attacks.

Chael has the highest AC in the party (often by 5) and should have gotten hit (on average) 4.8 times in 5 rounds for 73 points of damage. Instead, she got hit 9 times for 132 points of damage. 4 of the rounds out of 5 she got hit 2 or more times (where the average should be just under 1) That's getting hit close to twice as often as average. She's also been targeted 20 times in 5 rounds or 4 times per round (more if you count the Alluring Song which I haven't). If the DM were rolling anywhere close to average this encounter, Chael would have needed to be healed once instead of three times so far.

Anyway, I've just waiting again to post once I see if Alexia will heal Chael one more time.
