"Cats aren't that hard to persuade," Tatterdemalion disagreed. "You just can't let them know you're persuading them is all."

"Anyway, cats know each other's territory. It's part of what a cat is."

She looked at the others.

"You guys have to distract the familiar though. Best if it doesn't see me poking around, asking questions about it. It'll know we're onto it."

(OOC - As it's a skill challenge, I expect a Bluff, Intimidate or Diplomacy roll could work, depending on what approach she takes, yes?)

Althaea Ripace

Althaea smirks at Tatterdemalion's suggestion. It was just the kind of thing that might work, if for no reason other than that it was completely unexpected. "In that case, might I recommend that Teclis take the honor of distracting the familiar. As you've stated, you can turn into a bird, right? Mess with it a bit."

Even though she knew they were here on business, her traveling companions had a habit of making business entertaining.

"I prefer pixies to cats..." Soril says to no one in particular. "Right. I'd like to go inspect the ambush site. Maybe they're waiting for some more 'victims'". He says and then nods towards Althaea and Vanri. "Want to come with me while they're chasing cats?"

Vanri considers Soril's optimism. "If we are expecting company it may not be the wisest choice to split up. I think we should go to the market together, then have a look into the mysterious feline, if we act too quickly on that we may spook it or it's master."
