As the thug dies screaming, Soril takes a quick step forward to stand in front of the meanest looking one. As the flames stick to the mans clothes, Soril reaches behind his back with his right hand and draws forth a blade that wasn't there a moment ago. The large iron sword has flames running up and down it's blade and he points it without looking at the thug that is now behind him. "I'll get to you later." He says to the man. Still looking at the two in front of him, he says, "You're not finished burning." His words are soon followed by another blast of dragon fire, washing over the two men.

[sblock]Warding Chaos as a free action when the thug died. Soril gains resist 5 acid, cold, fire, lightning, and thunder until the end of your next turn. He also can shift 5 squares (but only is shifting 1 to 14D).

He then uses an Action Point to gain a minor action, which he uses to summon his pact weapon, and then breaths dragon fire again as a free action because he used an Action Point.

Silas keep back his sneer when he saw the thugs come out of the mud work; in the Empire, no one would dare attack an official envoy. Time to teach you all what it means to be part of our Empire. Moving forward while doing his best to avoid the mud, he spies two of the thugs looking at him with a hungry look. Look to yourselves before you look to me; how trusted can a crook be? The quick rhyme seems to befuddle one of their minds, and he strikes out against his buddy.
OOC: Move to N15. Hypnotism on Thug at M10: Will 25. If hits, he attacks his buddy w/ a +4 to hit.

OOC: the thug at M10 was taken out by Teclis' attack; the only bad guys adjacent to each other that are still standing are the Gangster at D14 and the Leader at E15

"We'll see about that." The leader says in response to the party's taunts.

The gangster at D14 (henceforth G1) takes a swing at the leader, and a fairly accurate one too, then shakes his head for a second as Silas' spell wears off.

"What do you think you're doing?" The leader shouts.
The thug at K7 (henceforth T1) tries to charge in behind Soril, but nearly stumbling in a sludge puddle slows him down, and he can only manage a very inept stab at the dragonborn.

G1 shifts to D13 to help set things up for his companions, then tries to attack the dragonborn with sword and dagger. Although Soril easily evades the gangster's sword (natural 2), his dagger hits Soril (natural 16) with surprising force (9 damage). In the whirlwind of combat, the fires set by Soril's breath go out (save vs ongoing damage succeeds).

The Leader shifts into the space her underling was occupying. She makes a furious attack, but doesn't get a clean attack in (natural 16 is a miss; half damage on a miss means Soril taks 4 damage).

The thug at G14 (henceforth T3) shifts into a flanking position across from G1, and tries to knock Soril down. Though it seemed like a pretty good attack (natural 16) it did not get past the dragonborn's defenses.

The other gangster (henceforth G2) weaves through the huts and charges into position to nearly surround Soril, and unlike the others, he at least scratches his target (natural 14 hits, 6 damage).

The thug at K18 (henceforth T2) sees no option but to step into the space of his fallen comrade (shift to K17) and try to attack Vanri, though he does not have much success (natural 6 is a miss).

As the glancing blows make small cuts in his tough hide, Soril grins. Glancing behind him to see more of them come at him, he dodges the clumsy thug and slips through the mud to stand next to the gangster. "Oh, you'll burn all right." He says and lets loose another blast of dragon fire.

[sblock]Draconic Sidestep - Immediate Reaction when Thug 3 moves to flank Soril. Soril shifts to 12B (right above G1) and breaths on G1, Leader, and T3. The fire breath would happen before Gangster 2 gets there, so he's not in the blast.

Preference for Ongoing 5 Fire Damage goes Leader -> Gangster.

The confusions of melee isn't the part of a fight Teclis prefers. He throws another blast of thunder and fire, but this time carefully to expand the effect in only one direction, with not much success, as it seems at least one enemy eluded him.

Vanri snarls at the second thug who has moved up to him his blade sweeping down on the human, a loud boom echoing across the battlefield as he channels his arcane power into the swing.

OOC:
Standard Booming Blade +19vs Ac 1d8+8 damage
Movement - if the thug drops, Vanri will move to G13 and use his minor to mark G1 with his Aegis of Ensnarement

OOC: Teclis - hits T1 (goes down) and G2. G1 would have missed, but it looks like you adjusted your area of affect to avoid friendly fire.
Vanri - hits T2 (goes down).
