The gnome squints his eyes and crinkles his nose, *I let him out, he stabs me and runs... I let him out, he stabs the Chimera and runs... I let him out, he stabs a merc and stays, helping to pay for the damages... Frickinfrackin...* Finally Pok shouts FINE! and begins working the panel.

but you should know, River there, is an excellent tracker. adds Pok, while working the panel. We've tracked quarry all the way to Droaam and back. the gnome adds for himself, *of course that was when Lan and Val were with us...* nodding sagaciously.

Rumbum stands and shakes his head to regain his bearings. Seeing his fellow fighting comrade pummel the bugbear to his right, he scans the area looking for one as well. Finding a target, he charges but his axe is deflected by the foe. However, Rumbum reacts quickly bringing his axe high above his head, then smashing it down on the bugbear's shoulder. The foe reacted to slowly to parry the blow. As a result, Rumbum's axe sinks deep into the shoulder, causing the bugbear to scream in agony.

The second cage hisses shut on the manticore. The force field hums into life just as the manticore releases more tail spikes at Tondrek. The blades bounce harmlessly off the field.

The chimera growls menacingly, moving forward the length of its chain.

The grabbed bugbear manages to spit out, "Help me!" in between Muzdum's attempts to hack his head off.

His comrade comes to his aid, whipping his flail around in circles at a tremendous rate. Rumbum, having been victim to this before, ducks this attack. Muzdum takes the blow heavily, and for the first time, is knocked on his back.

Rumbum is too distracted by the either the first bugbear's attack or Muzdum's getting knocked down, because he takes a slamming flail attack that knocks him next to Muzdum on the ground.

Now released, the severely wounded bugbear Muzdum was holding, tries to get up and make a break for it.

"Not so fast!"
barks the dwarf and his ax swings out at the bugbears unprotected backside, crunching solidily into his spine and dropping the second of the bugbears.

The ogre has an intense look of concentration on its face, but hasn't moved a muscle.

Also! As an alternative you can activate the chain winch to pull the beast 10 feet (2 squares). The winch will let out more chain periodically.

OOC: Tondrek and Doggie are marked prone, but stood last round. Also, perception: Crit
Tondrek seems distracted by the slow moving Chimera. After a moment, he chimes, Want claw, right? Endazzle then aim at claw, should work! Then the halfork notices everyone's wounds. He unlatches one of his gizmos and tosses it at Rumbum; it explodes in a greenish ooze-gas that seems to help his wounds. He then quickly makes a rune on his crossbow that makes the bolt burst with purple-black flame before firing it at one of the nearby foes. It hits home, and weapons all around Tondrek glow with a sympathetic light. Hit to heal! Neat trick!
OOC: Move. Healing Infusion on Rumbum (HS+9 hp). Vampiric Weapons vs B1: Hit, 16 dmg, and anyone w/in 5 that hits with a weapon attack (any foe) heals 1d6+5 hp

"He he he..." laughs the dwarf as the bugbear falls face first in the ground. "Now's yer turn fart face... just givemme a moment..." the dwarf struggles to his feet, like a baby trying to stand for the first time. It is hard to knock a dwarf prone, and even harder to put it back on its feet. "There.. now where was I? Oh right, CHARGE!" and true to his words, Muzdum charges the bugbear. Rather than his weapon, Muzdum slams the bugbear with his entire body, sending it to the ground.

Actions:
Move: stand up.
Standard: Charge with takedown attack. Hits and marks

Rumbum sits prone, shaking his head to clear out the stars flying around in his head. He smiles as he witnesses the dwarf get up and charge his target. Hey, I do that too...yes Rumbum gets up, hold his axe up over his head, then charges the same foe that knocked him down.
