The missing tooth grin on the goon's face disappears as the dwarf barrels into him. He goes down from the hit in a bloody mess.

GM: Enemy number 1 is out. River, do you want to use your ability on number 2 then?

OOC: As stated in my OOC SBLOCK, yes, I would target 2 if 1 is bloodied (or as it is death.) By the way, ALL DAMAGE done by River is considered non-lethal. River will not kill a living enemy willingly.

A barely perceptible wish-woosh escaped as Pok double stepped down the stairs, causing a darkness to begin swirling in his wake. The ghostly sheet hopped the last five stairs, floating to the ground gracefully, before alighting only for a moment and power-sliding underneath Rumbum's legs! The orc could see the gnome placing his finger to his lips, as Pok slid beneath Rumbum the wizard's shoes glowing with a black light.

Breaking his power-slide at the last moment, Pok caught the edge of the wall and pressed himself inside the doorway, as the darkness finally caught up and enveloped the gnome. With a thought, Pok willed the darkness lash out upon his foes. An explosion of life draining illusory vampire bats erupted into the next room! A dark shadow stood behind Pok, enshrouding the wizard and threatening any foe who would come too close.

GM: Okay, I am guilty of some poorly written map directions. The stairs were not intended to be difficult terrain, only the furniture...

Also, the direction of the stairs was not clear (ah-hem, understatement). Pok was at the bottom of the stairs, not at the top. I fixed the map to correct for this. CaBaNa Pok's move may need to be corrected, but does not appear to effect his end location. If fact, it doesn't look like he needs to shift.

GM: I was going to ask about the hiding with only partial cover thing, but then I checked and saw that was a component of his Twilight Adept feat. Way to stay one step ahead of your DM.

First encounter (well, partial encounter) done.

The gnome slipped forward, almost unnoticed by his own colleagues. When he unleashed the chaos of spinning shadow blades into the room, the goons were overcome by the attack, falling about in a bloody mess.

It was only a moment of pressure, but everyone takes a moment to take a breath. You're pretty sure that Rumbum and Muzdum are sad things are over with so quickly.

That is when you here the soft clapping sound and the solitary figure walk in the door. The tanned human is wearing nice clothes, but nothing fancy. He is well groomed. He looks about the room at the downed ruffians and smiles.

"Yes, I do think you can do it!"
He smiles at the group.
