Pok's mastery of the controls is perfect, pulling the chimera back toward its cage. He quietly pockets the chimera claw.

GM: Okay, let's get this adventure rolling again! [MENTION=51271]Voda Vosa[/MENTION] [MENTION=79956]dimsdale[/MENTION] and [MENTION=36973]stonegod[/MENTION] You guys still have to go this round. Someone else can activate the cage but you would have to be in space H-4 as Pok is in I-4.

Also, remember [MENTION=79956]dimsdale[/MENTION] that Rumbum is still dazed and can't see outside of Pok's original area of the spell (the purple color on the map)

OOC: and again, I AM SOOO SORRY for the critical hit +daze on Rumbum... I wasn't aware of his original position and hadn't expected him to be included in the blast, much less being crit. :blush:

GM: I'm ready to move along :)


Between Pok's security plate activation and Tondrek's big mechanical finger punching the big red button in the middle of the pad, the cage slides back into place around the chimera. The hum of activated force field follows the bars moving into the locked position.

The chimera, older and wiser than the manticore, does not throw its fury against the bars, but instead settles on its haunches patiently watching the action outside the cage.

The animal trainer finally speaks up, "That was great! You fought off those hooligans and saved the animals!" His smile lasts a minute and he shouts, "Wait, we got to check on Ruddick!"

A quick check of the double doors reveals they were wedged shut with the ogre's large flail. The ogre apparently fled the scene when the battle turned against his crew.

The two doors opposite the cage room lead up to the overlooking control room. The human on the floor, knocked unconscious by the bugbears, turns out to be Ruddick, who awakens (with various slaps and shouts) and recounts how the goons arrived before the adventurers and made him bring them here before you even got in the Battle Pit proper.

GM: Okay, so you can have as many short rests as you want. No extended rest. Please give me a healing surge update, plus what you would like to do next. Amarande is going to stay here for a bit as he wants to make sure the displacer beast is going to be okay.

Feel free to post any other questions or plans, but don't post anything about getting back to Lancaster quite yet ;)

"Anyone who needs to get some healing, gather around me." Once everyone have gathered, River make a prayer and everyone feels the pain washed away, and all wounds are closed.

"Does your animals needs healing or they should be fine?" asks River to the trainer.

Anyone in close burst 1 around River (enough space for every PC) regains HSV+35 hp if they spend an HS.

River spend 1 HS and is now full with 9/10 HS left.

When Pok reports to River, he feels the divine gift of Arawai fill him and he embraces the sensation as he never has before. The gnome's soreness and pain melt off and Pok makes a mental note to visit her holy site soon.
