OOC: Note: Since the Dragonshield chose to attack Galim rather than Alek, he takes 7 points of radiant damage for defying Alek's Divine Challenge (and had a -2 to hit due to being marked).
"I would not do that if I were you," Alek tells the dragonshield as Bahamut's radiance strikes the creature that defied the challenge of one of the Platinum Dragon's paladins. And then he takes another swing at the kobold.[sblock=actions]assuming the damage from Divine Challenge didn't kill the Dragonshield...
standard: Enfeebling Strive the Dragonshield @G10[/sblock]

Ellowyl backs away slowly from the kobolds, casting a spell as she goes. A frigid wind howls through the trees, covering the kobolds in swirling leaves and a patina of frost!

(OOC - Move to D9, cast Chilling Cloud on D11 to catch 4 minions)

HolyMan

Thy wounds are healed!
Marius

The sticky glue-like substance covers the elven cleric and he struggles to get free. Luckily he pulls put one arms from the mess just in time to defend himself from the oncoming skirmisher.

(Rolled save ends other post, just lost turn.)

Kobold Lieutenants

The sling wielding kobold whips another odd looking pot, but this time at the slightly glowing paladin. It arches through the air and breaks off the paladins upraised shield. Tiny shards cut into his face and neck but they are a mild annoyance compared to the small stink cloud that comes where the odd ammunition broke. (-2 penalty to attack rolls - save ends)

Meanwhile the dragon shield turns it's glare on Alek and the skirmishers moves up behind Marius. Bolstered by the presences of the other kobolds the dragonshield swings a mighty blow, catching the coughing and off-guard warrior. The creature barks in triumphant when he sees the red blood at the end of his short blade. Alek knows he is now marked by the kobold, but that matters little.

A spear in hand the red scaled rogue moves to make short work of the cleric. A quick stab to at Marius cuts him slightly across the leg.

OOC: End of Round 3 - going for Minions next post.

Top Round 3:

Kobold Minions

Continuing to swarm the group more of the minions attack with spears. They seem fanatical and likely to fight to the death. Although his armor is thick the small kobolds seem to be at the right height to find the opens in it for their spears. He is cut at the knees and midsection as the minions thrust repeatedly at the holy warrior. Blood runs down the steel plates and may weaken his body but not his resolve.

In an oddity the lightly armored Ellowyl and Galim seem to dodge the spear wielding minions easily.

[sblock=Combat]
Marius 15 pts dmg bloodied
Alek 26 pts dmg bloodied, marked(dragonshield), -2 to attack rolls(save ends)
Galim 4 pts dmg
Ellowyl unharmed

K- kobold skirmisher unharmed
S- kobold slinger unharmed
D- kobold dragonshield 29 pts dmg bloodied, marked(Alek)
M- kobold minion (5 left)[/sblock]

OOC: Group is up.

Galim Grimaxe

Galim growls as the blood of his allies falls to the ground. His mighty strike cleaves during the bigger kobold's skull, but his other swing to his right is dodged by the weaseling creatures.

The dwarven axe in Galim's hands finishes off the kobold dragonshield, and gives the minions pause.

A quick bark in their tongue from the slinger watching from afar gets them to keep their spears up, even if they do hold them in shaky hands.

OOC: dragonshield is dead

Alek calls upon the Platinum Dragon's blessing before swinging his sword at one of the lesser kobolds.[sblock=actions]minor: Lay on Hands on himself (spend a healing surge to gain 8 HP; no longer bloodied)
move: (using a minor action as a move) Divine Challenge to mark the minion @G9 (probably a waste of time, but might as well
standard: Virtuous Strike vs the minion @G9[/sblock]
OOC: forgot about the -2 to atk rolls; wouldn't have made a difference, I think

(since ENWorld roller is gone, re-rolling at InivisibleCastle:
atk;dmg (redo) (1d20+10=16, 1d8+4=10)

Marius

Seeing Alek in need of attention the cleric whispers him a word of inspiration, along with a tactic. "We will prevail, young paladin. Pull back to gather them closer together I have a plan."

OOC: Healing word on Alek and he steps back to D8 so Ellowyl can't be flanked. Rolling additional d6

Ellowyl to end the round map above is correct except D (dragonshield) is dead
