Reaper Miniatures Bones! Kickstarter Project

Reaper Miniatures Bones!: Since the launch of Bones in March, a full third of the figures we ship are Bones Gaming Miniatures. We have 8 pages of Bones suggestions going in our forum. It’s clear that you, our fans, want more of these Bones figures. And why not? They’re awesome sculpts at a terrific price! What’s not to love?

As it turns out, they’re also really expensive to produce. The mold costs alone are astronomical. In order to grow this line, we can do it slow and steady over the next several years, or we can defer to you guys and launch a bunch of new ones as soon as possible.

By the end of the year, we anticipate having 30 products in the Bones line. What this Kickstarter will do is at least double the Bones line to 60 total models: character models, new sculpts, big monsters, the sky’s pretty much the limit.

$100,000 in 3 days. Folks want cheap unpainted minis.

Vampire level looks like a pretty good deal and it keeps getting more minis.

And there is more rolling in by the day. The $100 vampire level is now up to 82 minis, plus Sophie. And they are not really too far from adding another 4 elves to the deal.

Orcpocalypse looks like a pretty good value and what is really cool is it can be added to any pledge level, even the $1 skeleton level. I might skip the $25 for 20 deal though since all 5 of them look like thier feet will overhang a 25mm base. Bow legged minis are OK when the design makes converting them to mounted units easy, but these ones look more like they just wanted to demand 30mm bases.

I have the orc with the two swords in metal (14640: Black Orc Tundra Stalker ($9.29) by Tre Manor). It fits on to a standard square fantasy slotta base and works just fine on a battle map. They are hefty orcs though.

Reaper has added some other options available to everyone (not just the 100 dollar pledge). There are now two paint sets available (18 bucks each) and a miniatures carrying case with foam.

The 100 dollar pledge now gets you 97 (closing in on 101) miniatures:

And you can add on the following miniature:

The current stretch goal is a set of three monsters sculpted by Tre Manor, two big baddass ones, and a gnoll with a bow.

If only teese were prepainted...

Nice looking minis, but I am in a different segment of the consumer base.

The good news there is that the steel injection molds they use for the Bones minis are the same they use for their prepainted Legendary Encounters line. So they should eventually come out with prepaints.
