Merging threads

So there are now these bots that automatically report on WotC stuff, the new OotS, etc. When human posters start threads about these things, they are merged with the bot threads, even if the human-started threads came first.

I've seen a number of comments to the effect of, "It is no longer fun to be the poster of this thread, since it gets shuffled off to merge with the bot thread."

Is it possible to do it the other way around? Merge the bot threads into the human threads instead? That way it's still fun for the human posters to post those threads.

Sure, if the human manages to make their first post formatted correctly and uses an appropriately descriptive paragraph for the news page, and posts it first! The first post is the one that shows up on the news page, so it has to look good. It's very rare that the human-created thread comes first though. In fact, if the human thread was first, merging the two would put the human post at the start of the thread. One doesn't get merged into the other - they both get merged together and whichever post was first is first.
