Chambers moves out of the line of fire, wondering vaguely just what kind of undead resort to rock-throwing as a primary mode of aggression. He pulls a javelin from the quiver on his back, looking to make a throw too long to reliably make with his knife, and lets it fly. Like most of Logan's projectiles, the javelin doesn't arrive at it's target in the same shape in which it left his hand. It strikes the ground between two feeble skeletons as a bolt of moonlight, and then exits the world as a shockwave and a bright flash. The two skeletons are gone, their broken bones scattered to the four corners of... the room.

Boris nods, pleased that the skeletons have focused on him. "That is good. Obedient bones. Now die!"

Boris raises his sword towards one of the skeletons and an arc of radiant fire ripples down the blade and fires towards the decrepit creature.

The bolt of arcane energy streaks over the rubble the skeleton cowers behind and impacts its skull with a bright shower of sparks. The bones clatter to the ground, the necromancy that held them together fled, though it seems that a bright claw holds the shadow of the creature by the neck. Suddenly the shadow is dragged towards Boris across the room, disappearing into his helm with a thin screech of terror. Another emerald upon his helm lights up as he strides across the room towards the remaining undead.

"The power of the Sun approaches! Tremble Dead Ones! It is not forgiving!" he curses.

Kurnos moves forward to join the battle, glad to have something to distract him from his troubled mind. Throwing a shuriken at one of the weaker skeletons proves fruitless though as the spinning blade flies harmlessly past the undead...

The nearest skeleton that is still animated is on the other side of the room, and hidden behind cover. If Ilse dashes toward it even at her best speed, it's unlikely she can catch it.

"Good thing I like a challenge..." she says with a faint smirk. The tiefling sprints at the rock-throwing undead and just manages to reach it before it can escape. However, the skeleton's choice of terrain pays off as Ilse's naginata glances off a tall pile of rubble.

[sblock=Ilse actions / stats]Move: walk to H7.

Zaroch advanced with the group, and sent an arcane thread hurtling towards the end of the room with each step. After 30 feet he paused, and began manipulating the 'strings', causing the shadows from the rubble pile at end of the room to animate. One of the skeletons became entangled, and was quickly overcome by the illusory shadow. The charge of psychic energy was too much for whatever lingering force caused those old bones to move, and in an instant, it fell to pieces.

OOC: Move: A6 to G4
Standard: Grasping Shadows
Hits the minion and misses the rock thrower, so I'm not going to bother rolling damage. Leaves a field behind until the end of my next turn. The field left behind by Grasping Shadows in non-discriminating, so make sure not to herp-a-derp in to it.

The minor skeletons are quickly obliterated by the heroes, who press the attack, and win the upper hand in the battle. The more powerful foes, however, remain unscratched. Both backpedal away, one using Zaroch's area to his gain. Both grab excesively large rocks, and throw them coordinatedly towards Boris and Kurnos. They are both hit by the oversized projectiles, but Boris manages to avoid the second one.

[sblock=Mining problems]

SR both use Big one on Boris and Kurnos and move away.

Please, whoever put the total damage on the enemies as a whole number, remember I want you to add it like in a formula (=X1+X2+X3) Otherwise I can't track individual damage.

Pay attention to the map's light, coded with the color of the lines. Orange lines are for lighted areas, while black lines are for dark areas. You can't see Boris, nor the skeleton rock thrower, for example, unless you can see in the dark. Pay attention to the difficult terrain as well, rails, rubble and ore are difficult terrain, costing 2 squares of movement. The cart is blocking terrain.

MAP and COMBAT Mining problems!! sheet contains the map and references are found scrolling down a bit.

Monsters' actions
Decrepit skeletons: dead
Rock thrower: both attack Boris and kurnos, Roll Lookup Boris takes 8 dmg, Kurnos takes 9+6= 15 dmg

Alek again summons his frost. He channels it against one of the rock throwers and hits it, pushing it hard against the rock walls. He then tries to follow it up with a blast of thunder deep in his throat. The thunder bounces around the cave harmlessly. "Damn" Alek mutters. Realizing that he is standing out in the open he moves for cover.

OOC: If you want to engage the northern thrower in melee, wait until after I post, which will be late this evening. I get CA vs isolated targets, and I'm going to slide him to the edge of the grasping shadows zone and daze him, at which point he'll be a much easier target.

Now that one of the enemies was both exposed and isolated, Zaroch pressed the advantage. He dashed forward until he got a good clean shot, and extended an arm. Strands of arcane energy reach out towards his target, and while it almost managed to slip free, Zaroch redoubled his efforts and entwined the undead. With a pull, it gleefully leaped back towards the central rubble pile.

OOC: Delay until after Logan.

Move: G4 to M6
I have a clear shot on SR1 from here.
Standard: Hypnotism vs. SR1
Forgot to add my bonus to the roll, not that it matters. Action Point and try it again.
Standard Action: Hypnotism vs. SR1
Hit. SR1 is slid 5, from S15 to P10. That puts him within walking distance of Boris and Kurnos. Have fun guys!
