    Oh Hai Katana!

A two-handed longsword you can finesse/use dex with?

    I'm okay with this.

Me too. I was okay with it back in August, when it was introduced into the playtest, and I'm still okay with it now. Did this need a thread?

Man, is there some rule that states that all you can talk about in this forum is the most recent changes from the most recent update?

Katanas as a two-handed longsword you can finesse with is cool, and worthy of talking about, regardless of when it was introduced.

    I approve, too.

All they really did was replace then name of the "Falchion" with a name that had a bit more traction: "Katana"

Alternatively, a sharp, more expensive quarterstaff.

Bingo, (though that does d10), that's exactly what I thought, and a good way to re-fluff the name for a non-Asian/Oriental setting.

I totally dig it, but what I dig most of all, out of all the weapons in the play-test is, that the quarterstaff is a finesse weapon (and useable by the we folk).
