What does Gillie Dhu look like?

Was the basic physical description left out intentionally so that we could use our own vision, or was it simply an oversight? Was he modeled after any specific type of creature? Either way, how did others describe him, or imagine he looks?

He's based on a real-world mythological entity, who fits the basic profile of the 'Green Man.'

Early in the adventure path we ran a Kickstarter to try to 'beautify' the modules, but it didn't reach its goal, so we had to cut back on some illos.

The final adventure is now available - Avatar of Revolution! As the grinding gears of the Gyre draw the world toward its oblivion, people of every nation, culture, and creed yearn for liberation. The villains need only complete a ritual at Axis Island to impose a thousand years of perfect obedience, but civilization has seen and rejected the future they offer. Though it may be their doom, they choose revolution. For Pathfinder and D&D 4e.

I happened to use a miniature for a satyr when I ran this encounter, so when my players asked what he looked like, I just pointed at the figure and said "that, but like, with leaves and branches sticking out everywhere."

Which, turns out isn't too far off.

I donated to that Kickstarter, and was really disappointed when it didn't fund.

When i read it, i thought to myself that his name seemed very authentic. It didn't even occur to me to research him.

So, handsome and woodsman-y or hostile and dangerous?

I envisioned a boisterous man with a big bushy beard, so more the former, just a bit high-energy.
