I thought I should perhaps post this since it has plenty to do with D&D: There is a rumour posted yesterday on MTV that Disney has started negotiations with Hasbro to purchase the company. The original site where I read about this particular rumour notes that this would make a certain amount of synergistic sense: Hasbro, after all, makes the toys for Star Wars, and has numerous other properties which could be right up Disney's alley.
I would be kind of scared of what this means for the future of D&D... though seeing as a new edition is already in development, there is probably not much worth worrying about on that front. If the rumour is true though, and it happens, maybe, just maybe, there might one day be a D&D movie that does not suck...
