i really liked the 4e halflings with the long hair and the shortness (duh!)

Each subrace should be different in appearance. Id life to see the lightfoot halfling like 4e and the stout halfling like LotR

I don't think they look like short people. I think they look like normal people with giant freaking heads.

Little too Disney Pixar for my taste, look it's a halfling adventurer!

I have no problem with 3e/PF/4e representations of halflings.

Well there is rumor of Disney buying Hasbro.

Couldn't vote. There was no, "no good. They're all wearing shoes." option.

    NO SHOES! HAIRY FEET!

I agree with the article on one thing: I was annoyed that halflings looked like small humans as well. But these designs are the opposite extreme. Seriously guys, can't we find a middle ground?

I like them well enough. Especially the line-art one, that book stand is fantastic!

Agreed, except that the 3e (and probably PF) ones are a bit too short (average height is 91cm - which is the same as my 2-year-old nephew), and the 4e ones are a bit too tall for my taste. I preferred the 2nd Ed height ranges (2'8" + 2d8 inches, as opposed to 3e's 2'8" + 2d4 inches - though better still would be 3'0" + 2d4 inches).

    All IMO, of course.
