ADMIRAL O' THE HIGH SEAS is a recently successful Kickstarter project by us here at EN World. It's a naval sourcebook for PATHFINDER and D&D 4E. The PDF version is already in Kickstarter backers' virtual hands, and the gorgeous softcover versions are on their way. We figured you might like a quick peek inside, so we've selected a bunch of pages and put them into a single PDF.

ADMIRAL O' THE HIGH SEAS is also designed to work perfectly with our ZEITGEIST: The Gears of Revolution adventure path, as well as seafaring campaign of your own making and adventure paths such as Paizo's Skull & Shackles AP.

You can download the free preview by clicking right here. We're sure you'll agree it's pretty as all heck!

ADMIRAL o' the HIGH SEAS - a naval combat supplement for use with the world's most popular roleplaying games.

For centuries, the boldest adventurers of all were sailors. If you want adventure, why limit yourself to dry land and dungeons when you can crew a tall ship and set sail for the end of the world?
Produced with the support of dozens of Kickstarter backers, this books contains rules for conducting naval battles and boarding actions, owning and operating a ship, exploring uncharted seas, and battling beasts of the deep. Design your own vessel, or choose from over twenty cutters, galleons, frgiates, and airships that any band of heroes would love to have, whatever their mission.

Run a blockade. Hunt a sea dragon. Capture a zeppelin. Become a pirate (just not of this book).

You've got a magic sword? That's great. I've got 80 canons and an iron-plated hull. Good luck stabbing that.

For use with PATHFINDER RPG and DUNGEONS & DRAGONS 4th EDITION.

Ideally suited to accompany the ZEITGEIST: The Gears of Revolution adventure path, Paizo's Skull & Shackles adventure path, or any seafaring campaign of your own devising.

The video is blocked in Germany because of the music.

The sample looks very interesting.
Two things I noticed. The Bosun is suddenly called Navigator in the entry. Also it is (to me) not clear in the Flagship entry if the amount of cannons is the total or per side. The rest of the stats are similar to the HMS Victory which makes sense considering its statues as flagship so I assume its per side to get close to its historical armament. Just the term "grand frigate" is a bit misleading as frigates were 5th and 6th rates and the Victory (like most flagships) was a 1st rate.

You only have some excerpts there, so you don't have the accompanying explanatory parts. "Grand Frigate" has a particular meaning in this book - a fictional category of specific ships; examples given are Ire of Veles, avatar of a god of seas and the underworld, and In Lucis Excusus, a grand frigate enhanced with steam technology to show the primacy of science over magic.

There are other fictional ship types - windships-of-war, leviathans, experimental steam submarines, and so on.
