For Steam and consoles.

They've implemented "House Rules" to modify gameplay.. very cool.

I never saw Chronicles of Mystara. How much Known World/Mystara flavor did it have?

It's a combination of the old Tower of Doom and Shadow over Mystara arcade games. Rare for me to find when I was about the right age, as they had mostly disappeared from arcades in my area. I honestly don't know how much or little of the Mystara setting was used other than in the name of the game, and as placeholder for the action.
I'm sure there is a wiki out there somewhere with more details, either way, I'll be getting this when it arrives.

Tower of Doom started out near Darokin or in Darokin, and one of the stage bosses was a Shadow Elf. This game was the first time I ever actually wanted to play a cleric -- who wouldn't want to run around a screen bludgeoning monsters and occasionally booming out with "STICKS TO SNAKES!" June can't come soon enough.

i can still hear "sticks to stakes" like a sound bite echoing in my head whenever I think of this game. It was a lot of dungeon-crawly fun.

I hope they have a friendly fire option in house rules. Loved the hilarity of Golden Axe back in the day.
