RangerWickett
Legend
I rented it this past weekend and got through it in a couple days. I rather enjoyed the gameplay, though man they made most of the NPCs pretty disposable. It's like they came with the ability: "Sacrifice this creature: motivate Lara to go some place new."
The combat and platforming was fun when the areas were more open, like Shantytown. Most of the areas were too linear, and while I nevertheless enjoyed playing through them, I would have preferred more options to navigate and outflank my enemies.
The bow was awesome.
The final chapter, though, did not satisfy. For a game all about platforming, exploration, and puzzles, they dropped the ball by having the final fight be contained in a medium-sized ring of flat terrain. I do look forward to a sequel, though.
