What is the best (easiest to use) Minecraft dungeon creator mod/program? I've tried MCEdit, but it's not easy or intuitive. I just want to make some dungeons for my boys to adventure in. I'm not looking to map out an entire world. Any advice would be greatly -- GREATLY! -- appreciated.

Have you tried making them in the game's own creative mode? You start with access to every item in the game and can place and remove blocks with a single click.

yeah. creative mode is pretty easy. at least on the xbox (what I play). it should be comparable on the PC

Oh, I'm very familiar with creative mode. I've created several various things, including a castle and a dungeon. But it's not a quick thing. Although I could probably make a dungeon in creative in the time it's taking me to figure out MCEdit.

But in figuring it out, I've discovered many other (non-building) features that is making learning it worthwhile.

I'm as excited about making a Minecraft dungeon adventure for my sons as I was 30 years ago making a D&D adventure for my friends.

What is it that you're looking to automate? Like pre-made rooms and floor plans?

There are scads of premade maps that other people have made and put online if you want to download and modify someone elses stuff.

If you need any design help, especially with any redstone engineering, give a shout.

Is there a server anywhere that Enworlders have taken over? I'm primarily on a private work server, but I spend a decent amount of time on two public and two mini-game servers.

Minesquish - http://minesquish.indiesquish.com/ - A decent whitelist vetting procedure and very family friendly. They run a handful of different types of servers and minigames.

Fuzzyblocks - http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic...y-92-vanilla-great-community-no-lag-pure-fun/ - Greylisted, mostly vanilla server. Not as family friendly, but active and pretty grief free.

New Liberty Zombie Horde - http://www.planetminecraft.com/server/horde---a-unique-zombie-survival-rpg/ - Strictly a mini game. They stuff a bunch of people on a pre-built map and then send wave after wave of zombies at them.

HyPixel - http://hypixel.net/ - a GREAT collection of mini games on a huge 1500 person server.
