The Bone's Storm Giant Sword (or a noodle by any other name)

I cannot straighten this thing out. Hot water + Cold water works for about five mintues. As soon as the sword reaches room temperature it droops like a wet noodle on a fork. Love the model, but will never use it this way. Ideas?

How thick is the sword? Would it be possible to temporarily straighten it out for your standard five minutes, and then embed a needle down its length? (I'd say needle over a straight pin since a pin has a head on it you'd need to cut off, although that would also be a possibility.)

Jonathan, that's a very good suggestion, I think it just might be. I'd need a very long needle, but if I can find one I think that might work. Thank you.
