    Bruce Cordell leaves WotC

Bruce Cordell has handed in his notice and is leaving Wizards of the Coast next week. "It’s with mixed emotions that I announce the end of my 18-year run at Wizards (and TSR before that). I gave my notice last week and will be leaving the company."

I thought his Return to White Plume Mountain was fascinating.

He's had a fruitful career with D&D. A lot of creative stuff including a number of cool adventures I remember. I hope he enjoys working on the 13th Age stuff now. It's been a long run in one place.

Good luck to Bruce! For a good while there, he seemed to be the go-to guy for the best D&D adventures. Hopefully, the change of scenery may help him get back to those heady days.

I remember how much I loved his 2E stuff, particularly Return to the Tomb of Horrors.

    Good luck Bruce!

Not a big fan of his work that I have owned, but I wish him best of luck. In this day and age, that is a long time to be at one company.

    Isn't that the 9th age?

They are friends from way back, so that would make sense.

Also interesting how the RPG industry has sort of gone back to...normal...with more mid-tier games and companies. But maybe that is another thread.
