The Chosen template

Some people are born for greatness. A lucky few seem to be born with every blessing nature has to offer... strength, speed, intelligence, natural leadership abilities, and more. The Hidden Masters refer to these special men and women as “the Chosen.” Many of the Chosen spring from the same bloodlines, and at times the Masters have claimed that the Chosen are descended from the Masters themselves, just as the heroes of the ancient world often had divine ancestry to thank for their prowess.

Chosen are always remarkable in appearance. Most appear to be physically perfect specimens, and unusual eye colors such as grey, violet, and even gold are commonplace.

Many of the Chosen find their gifts to be a mixed blessing. Along with the potential to do great good, they have the potential to do great evil, and whatever their choices, none will live anything like an ordinary life.

“Chosen” is an inherited template that can be added to any humanoid or monstrous humanoid (referred to hereafter as the character). It uses all the character’s statistics and special abilities except as noted here. Chosen will always have Hero levels rather than Ordinary levels.

Ability Scores: +4 to all attributes. The Chosen are physically and mentally superior and are natural leaders.

Special Qualities: A Chosen retains all the special qualities of the character and gains the following special qualities listed below:

Destined for Greatness: Regardless of actual character level, the Chosen are considered epic level for the purpose of qualifying for feats and talents.
