The interesting bit for me was during the bit about D&D KRE-O

Weve also developed a new series of animated shorts that will introduce todays kids to the rich lore and heritage of Dungeons & Dragons and all the great characters in the Dungeons & Dragons brand.

There's one episode -- just one -- that I need them to make. They don't even have to write a script; it's ready to go.

It's rolling a natural 20 when you're down to 3 hit points and the cleric's on the floor and you're staring that sunnavabitch bugbear right in his bloodshot eye and holding the line just long enough to let the wizard unleash a fireball at the guards who are on their way, because they're all that stands between you, the Foozle and Glory." - WizarDru

Yep. There's an audio reenactment of the script in the DVD boxed set.

Considering that the KRE-O poster child seems to be Driz'zt, I'm pretty sure the eighties' kids are not on WotC's radar right now.

For adults, then, the company will be releasing friction-free games including ... Pointing Fingers, which allows players to point at their friends with giant foam fingers.

It's a sad day when I'm far more interested in MLP than an announcement of a D&D cartoon.

Still, having watched G.I. Joe Renegades, G.I. Joe Resolute and Transformers Prime, I think Hasbro could pull off a half-way decent D&D property, if they used something like the 3E iconics.

As long as we don't get a repeat of the horrid animated Dragonlance Chronicles. That utterly devastated me.

I've heard that if you just listen to it it's OK.

I think a cartoon is a no brainer. I wonder why there hasn't been one in so long. Though I must admit it will probably not appeal to me. But my little cousins?.....
